Available Vaccines
Most vaccines are available at all Discount Drug Mart locations. Our pharmacists can help you determine which immunizations are right for you based on age, health, and current CDC guidelines.
Common vaccines include:
- Influenza (Flu) Most patients should receive this every year in the late summer or early fall.
- COVID-19 Most patients should receive this every year in the late summer or early fall.
- RSV Vaccine Administered once per lifetime. Recommended for patients over 50 or pregnant women at 32-36 weeks gestation.
- Pneumonia (Pneumococcal) Vaccine Different pneumonia vaccines available. Protects against various strains of pneumococcal bacteria. Recommendations vary. See pharmacy for details.
- Shingles (Herpes Zoster) Vaccine Typically recommended for patients over 50. Two doses given 2 – 6 months apart.
- Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (Tdap) Vaccine Recommended for pregnant women in their third trimester as well as people who will come in close contact with infants. Recommended as a booster dose for adults every 10 years.
- Hepatitis A & B Recommended for patients who are 18+ and at increased risk of getting hepatitis.
- Meningitis Vaccine Recommendations vary. See pharmacy for details.
- HPV Protects against the HPV virus known to cause various types of cancers. Typically recommended for those 11-12 years old and up to 45 years old.
Vaccine availability may differ by location and is subject to supply. Age restrictions apply in accordance with Ohio Board of Pharmacy and CDC recommendations.
